I'm a dental hygiene major and I was attempting to be admitted into the following fall class this year. Due to all the budget cuts, they now can't admit anyone. So I have been drastically affected by all this. I've tried applying to other colleges, but I have missed most of the deadlines due to the fact I never thought of GHC closing down an entire program. One college I could have applied for required one more class that none of the USG colleges require for my major and isn't even offered at our college, so now I'm left with my only option of waiting another year before I can apply again. I'm not upset at what GHC is having to do to remain open, but I do wish that the Legislator would reflect on how this is impacting the lives and careers of students.
